We have made sure that we have plenty of processing power, but at the same time, we've sought the right balance to make sure we don't have excessive amounts of resources that would sit idle, wasting power, while going unused.

Through an arrangement with our hosting company, we employ carbon offsets to ensure that we are at least 10% carbon positive in our hosting footprint. Our net carbon impact is positive, meaning that our offsets, and your visit here today, actually aid the planet by reducing overall carbon output to the atmosphere. This does cost us more in hosting fees, but we feel that premium, environmentally friendly hosting is money very well spent. The carbon offsets that our hosting company invests in, on our behalf, are for reforestation projects that are designed to not only exceed the carbon footprint of the specific virtual server that we use, but also the other peripheral infrastructure used in the hosting environment (routers, switches, network gear, backup servers, backup power supplies, cooling equipment, etc).

Our hosting company has also committed to exclusively using low-voltage server hardware, further assisting our earth-friendly stance by creating the lowest energy footprint possible.

Our hosting company's servers have also been designed to be used, and eventually disposed of, in an environmentally friendly way. 100% of the resources that we use for hosting will be responsibly disposed of when they have reached the end of their lifecycle. This includes recycling 100% of all components that are able to be recycled, plus meeting or exceeding all environmental standards for the eventual disposal of any and all non-recyclable components.
